Egmont Publishing unveils Play-Doh showcase magazine

Hasbro’s Play-Doh brand is getting its own magazine, thanks to a new deal with Egmont Publishing.

As part of the company’s Showcase magazine series, the special issue will boast a giant poster, stickers and four tubs of the famous putty.

Inside the magazine fans will find animal masks to create, Play-Doh puzzles, craft activities and Play-Doh models to build.

Designed for boys and girls aged from three to six, the issue will be published on April 5th for £3.99.

Hasbro partners with Harmonix Music Systems for its latest music mixing game

Hasbro has developed its latest music mixing game, thanks to a new deal with video game developer Harmonix Music Systems.

Dubbed Dropmix, the game uses technology that encourages players to create unique mixes of songs by playing cards on a game board connected to an app.

Slated to launch this September, the game boasts an electronic board and 60 Dropmix cards across multiple music genres.

Steve Janiak, CEO of Harmonix, added: “Our collaboration with Hasbro has enabled us to create the next evolution of musical play.

Kabam and Hasbro partner to develop a Transformers inspired HD mobile game

Hasbro (Twitter: @Hasbro) has entered into a licensing relationship with Kabam (Twitter: @kabam), an entertainment company headquartered in San Francisco to develop a new HD multiplayer mobile game inspired by its science-fiction action film franchise, Transformers.

Disney unveils a range of consumer products for its upcoming animated movie Moana

Disney has struck multiple deals for the launch of consumer products for its upcoming animated movie Moana. The movie is based on the adventures of Moana, who leaves her island to embark on a journey to save her people, accompanied along the way by Maui and her animal companions Hei Hei the rooster and Pua, her pet pig.

The studio has unveiled a collection of toy lines from Hasbro, Jakks Pacific and Posh Paws, as well as published titles and puzzles.

Disney signs multiple licensing deals for Doctor Strange featuring merchandises

Disney has signed multiple licensing deals for an extensive launch of merchandise including apparel, accessories, toys and collectibles featuring Doctor Strange, latest Marvel release.

The first deal was signed with LEGO, Danish toy manufacturer for the launch of its Doctor Strange Sanctum Sanctorum.

Deals have been signed with Mad Engine, Rubie’s, C-life, Freeze, Mighty Fine and Hybrid for a range of fan apparel and wearable gears.

Hasbro's Play-Doh enters the app world

Play-Doh, a modelling compound owned by Hasbro and manufactured under its preschool division has now entered the virtual world of gaming through its new application game named Play-Doh Touch.

The application is designed for both iPad and iPhone devices and is available for play for free for any can od Play-Doh or $40 Shape to Life Studio set consisting of seven Play-Doh cans as well as stamps and cutters which can be used to make balloons, wings and musical notes to give life to the virtual characters.
