Paws Inc., an American comic studio and production company founded by cartoonist Jim Davis to support the Garfield series, comic strips and its licensing and King Feature Syndicate (Twitter:@KingFeatures), a print syndication company that distributes about 150 comic strips, newspaper columns, editorial cartoons, puzzles and games to nearly 5,000 newspapers worldwide have signed new deals to launch a new line of Garfield-inspired accessories and apparel for retail.
This winter, leading designer and developer of licensed merchandise, Ripple Junction (twitter: @RippleJunction), will roll out a line-up of Garfield merchandise, from t-shirts and jackets to socks and hats, for men and women.
Meanwhile, hosiery designer High Point is launching socks, shoe liners, tights, leggings and slipper socks in March.
Both collections will be sold throughout the United States and its territories.
Also, Invicta has designed a line of high-end watches. The watch collection will be available in the U.S. and its territories, Canada, and Mexico. In the U.S., the watches will be sold at a wide range of retailers, including department stores, membership clubs, Evine home shopping network, specialty stores, and more. The line will also be sold at Invicta retail stores and Costco in Canada, and Invicta and Watch My Watch stores in Mexico. The Invicta watch line will be followed by a collection of playful scrubs and lounge pants for women and juniors from Apparel Connection that will be available in the U.S. and its territories.
