EuropaCorp (Twitter: @EuropaCorp), a French motion picture company has signed multiple new licensing deals for its upcoming sci-fi movie, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
The first of the seven deals has been signed with The National Entertainment Collectibles Association or NECA (Twitter: @NECA_TOYS) to launch a line of action figures, die-cast vehicles and prop replicas.
Another deal with Funko (Twitter: @OriginalFunko), an American manufacturer of licensed pop culture toys will release Pop! and Mystery Mini figures.
ACCO Brands Corporation (Twitter: @ACCOBrands), an American manufacturer of office products will launch a line of movie inspired calendars.
Other deals have been signed with Love & Madness (Twitter: @Love_N_Madness), a woman owned and operated accessories brand to launch a range of jewellery, patches, tattoos, hair accessories, bags, and tech accessories while Just Toys will introduce impulse aisle and blind bag items.
Titan Books (Twitter: @TitanBooks) will launch books on the making of the movie along with the novelization of the complete movie while Ultra Pro has also come on board to launch board games, card games and gaming accessories.
Furthermore, interactive partner Spil Games (Twitter: @spilgames) will be releasing a mobile/tablet game based on the film.
The film comprises of aliens, spaceships, weapons, heroes and villains, and all these will be featured on the merchandise.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets will release in cinemas in July 2017.
